So... I've gone and done a super crazy thing - I made a Facebook group called The 18th Century Enthusiast.
Why did I create a group?
Well, after participating in MANY MANY Facebook groups specifically geared towards people who like the 18th century, and some other similar groups, I found that there still was some level of exclusion rather than inclusion in the groups. Plus, A LOT of people still did NOT know about other groups and activities or events. An unfortunate issue was how separation remained between historically authentic folks and the simply 18th c inspired crowd. Frankly, I want to bridge that gap.
And I know I'm not alone in that wish!
Other people have done SO well in bridging the gap between the historically authentic ( HA for short) and those who are not keen about being authentic at all, or just like 18th century themed shows. Townsends, for one, has created such a wonderful new fandom just by being so real and very historical minded, too. Nothing stingy there at all. Nothing but camaraderie and documented information.
There's a bunch of blogs all around, too, focused upon particulars of the 18th century or upon the 18th c as a whole. Yet, not many people are really connected to them.
Or even other YouTube channels. Whether it's Townsends or the Mount Vernon videos or of 18th c dancing by PotsdamerRokoko, or the behind the scenes reenactor views from Brandon F or Chris P or other reenactor channels, maybe sewing tips from Bernadette Banner, or beauty tips from American Duchess.
Oh, and can't forget the numerous shows and movies that captivated some to become fans, and want to mimic the style from shows like "Turn" and "Outlander", or the Musical "Hamilton" or "1776", or maybe a film like "The Patriot" or "Pirates of the Caribbean". Fans can't be ignored!

Time to bridge the gap and connect 18th c lovers. Plus, prove that the 18th c does NOT have to ONLY be Europe and the American Colonies along the Atlantic coast. After all, by this time, world trade and a world economy was thriving! That includes Italy and Span, China, the new possibility of Japan, the South Pacific, India, Russia, Germanic regions, Africa, the East Indies and the West Indies, and we can't forget Central and South Americas, as well as Canada, Sweden, Holland, and the Middle East.
Please, join The 18th Century Enthusiast Facebook group and connect with many who simply enjoy and adore any or every aspect of the 18th century, as well as anything related to the 18th c such as shows and movies.
